The amount of health returned by the vampiric mists from the Traitor's Dagger has been reduced.  (from Jan 6 hot fix)

Regarding the level 5 proc, I've been using the dagger all morning in Avalon City versus yellow and orange con mobs near the entrance.
The proc does go off more often, it seems to be a good bit more often.
The Mists seem to hit harder, and the lifetap they proc goes off more often.
The mists seem to get resisted A LOT!
(You now get resist messages from the mists.)
Against yellows when I’m full buffed if the proc goes off once, I can just beat them down unstyled and come out with 98-100% life... much better than before.
It seems that when the proc goes off once, it has a high chance of going off on successive hits. Its not unusual to have 3 mists out at once.  Feb 21

Traitors dagger can be activated at lvl 46, however, the lvl 5 and lvl 10 ability do NOT work unless you are level 50.  My 48 Minstrel has the dagger to lvl 6 and when the proc tried to go off I got the following message. You are not powerful enough to use this spell.  Even at 49 I tested it, still will not proc same error.   Feb 24

Leveling the Artifact:

Seems that its easier to level on Skyros in Messo than killing Necyomancers in DF.    Nov 18

The Traitor's Dagger levels well off the draks in Avalon City.  So apparently the range of "humoniods" that you gain xp from, is a wide one.  Feb 23

Strategy:

He can be found in 4 different locations:
He respawns every 10 minutes or so, maybe.
- Jhova

Sadri the Traitor seems to spawn *always* in Boreal. Most of the time, he'll spawn at 56k 27k in between the three crocodile islands.

If he's there, just come from the South East, pull him (avoid getting croc aggro) and pull back... never show him your back... just back away slowly... and when he's away from the crocodile area, just CC him or get someone to melee him. Then fight him.

If he ran away, or he's not there, check Traldor's Temple at 12.5k 62k. Have your back against the barred door... you'll see a structure (stone with nets on it) and a wall on each side. He'll be in between the left wall and the stone structure. If he tries to run away, he'll head South West.

If he isn't there, check out either 12k 56k (ocean level) or 20k 56k (surface level) in Meso. Pretty easy fights there since there is no aggro around.

Took me 13 fights; 11 wins and 2 loss (had aggro once and he ran me through an island with aggro the other time). I'm a 50th Pally so it was relatively easy for me to solo him. When he runs away, he's slightly slower than sprint speed.

I soloed the dagger with my level 50 BD Akuji last week.....I found him at 20k x 56k in meso surface level swimming against the rock wall, i sent my pets on him & then proceeded to dot then lifetap him. Once he was on me i just kept lifetapping him till he was dead & the dagger fell.   Feb 9

When u attack pull in melee he'll fight u. If you turn and run, he'll run away. If u pull any other way and turn and run, he'll also run away. If u get him n melee and start to back up he'll turn and run away.
If you pull him (not melee) he'll charge u if u back up. The key is to back up and strafe so when u charge he's pinned up against the shore or some other structure (he can't go on land). Once you get him in melee do not back up (especially if his back isn't against the obstacle or he'll run).

Tips:

In the croc islands he is a VERY small aligator about the size of an aligator hatchling on one of the islands. He stays in the middle of the islands near a white rock.
In the shark place in meso, he is a very large shark and he camps right next to two white rocks.
I have tracked him down in all these places but sometimes when he just sees you he runs... The moment i spotted him at the trealdor place and the shark place in meso he ran away.
He once ran from the shark spawn to the shore of one of the croc islands... i've never seen him there before.  Dec 20

When and if/he runs, he will go to Traldor's Temple, the Staff of the Gods or the isle next to the staff with the sobekite on it.  Dec 29

I killed him 10 times before he dropped it.    Nov 26

He can spawn at any of the four sites.  Spawn time seems to be pretty quick.  By the time we got to checking each of the sites, he would be spawned.  Dec 16

Drop:

two pieces of ROG loot and the dagger.
- Matipzieu

We got this drop off the "Traitor" while trying to get the Dagger. It's not a unique drop. It's a specialized drop specifically from the "Traitor"

What the completed scrolls read:
The Complete Book of Glyphs reads, "The dagger has been left here for many years. I've been trying to retrieve it. I know its nature, and it is dark. There is a tale of a king, one of the first in  Atlantis. The kingdoms were besieged, and he fought off the enemy for three days and three nights, one king and his small army held off the enemy while the other kings regrouped and flanked the enemy. "
"He used this dagger, this Traitor's Dagger, to accomplish this.  All would have been well, but the king was found dead shortly after, with this dagger in his heart. It is said to have been blackened at the moment of the king's death, but I believe the dark blade always held a treacherous nature, and do not believe it was acquired. So I seek this dagger, for it is dangerous, and here in this dungeon it has found many that appreciate its dark nature. "
"It is hard to track this dagger down. It changes hands so frequently. Recently it's been used in some sobekite intrigue I'm not fully aware of. I thought I had it. I really truly believe this dagger should be destroyed. It is not safe for any to use. I don't mind the sobekites and their intrigue. It is their affair. The dagger, however, should be destroyed. It's brought nothing but bad luck."
"It would seem the dagger doesn't betray the sobekites. It would seem it has found a kindred race. Now I wonder if the dagger hasn't merely come full circle. My efforts to destroy it have proven futile, and now, more pressing matters call me back to Atlantis. I would very much like to see the dagger destroyed, but for the time, it must remain here."
