Telgar's Redemption Quest

Steps:
* Keep running and screaming each time you have to get over the bridge of death *1. Talk to telgar -- hes a mob just east of the Oceanus Anatole boat drop off by some broken ruins. He wants your help finding his lost brooch.
2. Kill salamander hatchlings (yellow to 50), basically straight east inside the Typhon's reach zone. One of them drops special item you recieve in your backback. Second one I killed gave me the brooch.
3. Return to Telgar, he sends you to kill a Taur Sphaktes, loc 29000, 11000 over the Bridge NE from entering the Zone. This is what kills most of you, my tactic is rather cunning and simple, and since im an Albion, im rather good at it... you square up with the bridge in view, run over in the centre and hit sprint and keep running while you scream, 6 red+ mobs will chase you, but will not touch you as your running like a girl North , Head NE once over the bridge and over 2 hills and turn around and taunt them, as the mobs start to return.
4. Return to Telgar, exactly same tactic, centre yourself at bridge and hit sprint and run like a girl, and then head West over and keep running , he gives you a branch, and wants you to kill a lava leaper. The leaper is before the bridge, at loc 24000 4400, Typhons Reach, follow the lava north past from the bridge.
5. "use" the branch after you kill the leaper
6. return to telgar, he sends you to a a Barthalos, over the bridge NE - Loc 41000, 8000 - Inside Neutral Temple (OJ to 50). Talk with him, say [official businesss], then give him the dart that the combined items made. He'll emote the password. When I did the quest it was "barnacle".
Note: Questers should not speak to ANY of the neutral mobs at the Temple EXCEPT Barthalos… If you do, you are invited to battle 7 red con mobs in an island arena. Not sure what happens if you win, because my party of 3 were wiped out. This is part of another quest (not sure which one). 7. return to telgar, he gives you a note and sends you to talk to Belderim, at loc 24200, 19650
8. give belderim note, and say the password. when I did the quest it was "barnacle"
9. return to telgar, he says I'm glad he's on my side, and sends you back to Belderim so you can learn the location of Bronyar and his guards.
10. return to belderim, he tells you the location of Bronyar's guards (15450, 36750)
11. head to the guards, say "barnacle", and Bronyar appears.
12. Drop the brooch that telgar gave you on Bronyar, he turns into one of the wolfy anubis looking dudes that are the Taur's opposing faction, and his guards turn on him and kill him
13. Return to telgar for the reward. Nov 21

Tips:
Tips to get across the NE bridge to get to the the Taur Sphaktes for step #4:If you have a rezzer available, have someone go across the bridge ungrouped. The rezzer (and everyone else who might be coming along) follows behind the sacrifice a few seconds after he starts across. The ungrouped person runs across the bridge, and this will agro all of the nasties on it. Try not to go to far on the other side of the bridge. Because of the anti-training way that DAoC mobs behave, they will not agro the ungrouped people who are following behind, and they can rez the other person on the other side of the bridge. Depending on your ability to take damage, you may want to try to clear any mobs on the east side of the bridge before going across (there's usually only 1 or maybe 2 there). Nov 21

we had a FG and just killed all the mobs on the bridge before crossing. had scout pull 1 and he'd bring 2 friends. once you clear the bridge cross and go NE. there is going to be another "find this mob" step that's tricky too. you'll be looking for a lava leaper. from the bridge, follow the shore straight north to the zone wall and we found him sitting in the lava there (twice, someone didn't get credit and had to do again).

We got as far as having to cross the bridge to find the taur sphaktes and then the problems began.
First of all, the taurs on the bridge come in 2's and 3's, high red con to a 50. We had pac healer, skald, 2 zerks and a shaman with end 4 (level 37 though so he died easy). If a member of your group dies in that zone, look out, it spawns a yellow con snake to attack you too.
And now for the BS kicker. Those taurs on the bridge have an UNINTERRUPTABLE SELF HEAL. You have to beat... them to get them to die. We made it across the bridge after clearing it, but the respawn rate was so fast I had NO time to rest and get back power and we all ended up dying.
What a total load of crap. I won't be going back to finish this quest without a full group and at least two healers in the group.
